Editor’s Note: We are now posting the latest comments about the Comcast problem first for those who have visited this page previously. The first 30 or so were posted over the weekend starting April 9.
Yes – a month or two. Problem sounds the same as everybody else. It ruins whatever program you are watching. Comcast came out several weeks ago and put in a new cable for us, but it didn’t help.
Yes about all the noise and static It is so loud that it scares the dog terribly. Please help
Also it has been happening longer than a month. We have also called comcast ourselves.
So why are we all paying Comcast the full amount of our bills for poor service??? It seems apparent that we should receive some kind of a retribution/allowance for the community!
This is not new - it has been ongoing for months - such a deal we got from comcast !!!!
Will we be receiving a credit from Comcast for the months of ongoing signal interrupts, snowy screens, blackouts etc?
YES - We have been experiencing many of the same problems as the other residents have for the past few months now. In addition to the service interruptions, we are paying for another cable box that is hooked up to the TV in our bedroom. We started experiencing several different types of issues to which Comcast's resolution was to provide us with a different, newly designed box. Unfortunately the new box has many deficiencies and Comcast is no longer issuing the old cable boxes. The problems we have had and it seems to continue is we lose the signal and have to constantly call the office and the re-start has to occur from them and we don't have the ability to reset it ourselves. This can be very annoying especially when you are in the middle of watching a movie or the ending of a show and then have to miss the most important part of the show. We hope you are able to work out something with Comcast on behalf of all the residents.
I have the intermittent snow for at least a month or two.
My tv went off about 4 times on Saturday and about 2 times on Sunday.
We stopped using Comcast six months ago, and signed on to AT&T U-Verse and have not repeat, have not had any service interruptions whatsoever. We have The internet, Phone service and TV and not one problem in six months. I would try to pursue with AT&T to get them into all 10 subdivisions.
The responses from the residents concerning Comcast are very interesting. It is easy to see why Comcast was rated dead last in customer satisfaction for cable companies by Consumer Reports.
That's a great Idea! We signed a long term contract with comcast. Yes the same people who wouldn't speak with our community prior to our contract expiring. We as a community of 650 homes should have put the tv contract out to bid with dish and directv also. Sometimes the knowledge of a "bid" allows for better negotiation! In this case an upgrade of our cable infer structure. Like the saying goes "wise men don't need advise and foolish men don't listen" our community in a nut shell.
We have been having the same issues for years now. But lately its been getting worse. It. Ranges from the screen going black for 5 to 30 seconds, to not coming back on until we get out of the 400 range, the high def group. We also have a lot of digitizing going on along with the signal changing parameters to the point that the tv,cable box,and receiver for surround sound are all. Switching from stereo to 5.1 to 6.1 to 7.1 to neo, etc with each switch that takes place the audio signal is interrupted. When we record something on the dvr it has black outs through the hole show. Basically the entire service sucks. We subscribe to internet and all available digital, high def, sports, music they offer. $150+ per month. When we call in to complain we typically are told that we are the only ones complaining about this and until they get 7 out of 10 on the complaint scale they will not do anything. We even have our green b ox for service distribution bor our building 6feet from shore in the lake 5 months out of the year, which causes a whole other bunch of symptoms and they still told us there is nothing they will do....forget about all the snowy channels in the lower spectrum 3 through the 100's. There must be something we can all do as a group action for failing to meet contract requirements...????
My family do not enjoy TV because of this interruption. Comcast must make immediate correction so my family can enjoy few hour TV time.
I know I can speak for at least 6 families in our cul-de-sac as well as a family that resides outside of the cul-de-sac, all in Cypress Bend. This issue I am speaking of is regarding out Comcast service. For months now, we have all been plagued with the cable going out on our TVs. Monday night I timed it and it went out approximately every 8 minutes. The TV is off for about 5 seconds at a time. We have all had Comcast out to our homes numerous times, and upon the last visit to my neighbor, he was told that they don't know what the problem is. Well that answer is not good enough, as they need to research this problem and find the answer. We are all pretty fed up paying for a service that does not work. Maybe the association can carry a little more weight to bring this issue to their attention and get some results even if it means rewiring from scratch. Please help us in this matter. Thank you.
Yes, I have that problem, been like this since about January.
Yes, we have this problem on and off since winter this year. It looks like when we are having windy days the cable start to go in and out. For a while it was ok, but since the wind has picked up it's back?
Our home has also been affected with the Comcast outages and we too have had service techs in our home multiple times. What I caution all residents to know is that Comcast is now charging stating to me that they are finding lose adapters inside the homes and thus the service call was not necessary allowing them to charge for it. We of course won't pay this and have filed a complaint. They have also stated that our association needs to file a formal complaint as an area outage to corporate and NOT deal with the West Palm Beach Service Center who doesn't appear to have any answers regarding this issue. Please let's file a complaint and insist they credit us or provide an additional free service for the months we've all experienced. Thank you.
YES + more often: silence & no picture at all.
YES -- we've been having these kinds of service problems for a couple of months! At first I thought it was the new television set...then realized the tvs upstairs were also going on and off. That loud sound you described only happens with the new set. The two older tvs just go black, then come back on a few minutes later. Have also noticed with the new set, once I get it shut off (not easy to do for some reason during this problem) it sometimes comes back in a smaller form -- ie -- doesn't fill the entire screen. So I have to turn the set off and on again to get it back to a normal size. Frustrating.
YES, we have the same problem with TV and Internet. Comcast came the first time when the interruptions were less then every 5 Minutes, and repaired it. It worked for two three days without interruptions. After less than a week it was back, in a slower cycle. We called again, they made an appointment, but nobody showed, or so we thought. Later on we found out that they called while we were on the phone. They left a message that nobody answered therefore they didn't come to the house, but the message said we know about the problem and we are working on it. Instead of improvements, its getting worse, we have several interruptions again every hour, from just a black screen to a loud noise with a grainy gray screen. Thank you very much for caring enough to address the issue. I hope Comcast acts before you have to act on our behalf.
Picture will disappear for 30 to 45 seconds then reappear frozen then go back to normal.
This has been going on for weeks. Every time I call Comcast they say it’s outside, not in my home.
Yes, It's been happening for at least a couple of months. Comcast came to our house back in Feb, they were unable to resolve the problem. In our home the service goes out for just a few seconds (5-10) several times per day.
Yes, a number of us East of Cain are having the same problem.
Yes - for about a month.
I need the details of what is provided by Comcast as Part of the LABR agreement. I need this information as I am changing to another vendor due to the unacceptable level of service from Comcast.
I reported this problem to Comcast more than a month ago. I was getting 5 to 7 interruptions per hour. Comcast sent a technician to my house, and after about an hour during which time she checked everything related to TV wiring and connections, found no defects. She said the problem had to be external, and she would report it to her supervisors. The problem continued so I called Comcast Hdqtrs., and was assured the
problem would be corrected. That was two weeks ago. The problem continues. I live on Anchor Drive which is EAST of Cain Blvd. After reading your alert, my guess is that the problem exists throughout the Lakes.
Yes.
Yes.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. And we also go black( completely nothing like it was shut off) sometimes 6 times a show. Horrible service. They say it is the lines outside the house. Stinks.
No. I do have channel blackouts for several seconds but no noise.
This problem has been going on for over 2 months. I have made approx 25 calls to customer service and also to their managers. The technicians that have been here approx 25 times all know of the problem and no one seems to know how to resolve it. The latest technician who was here yesterday suggested the Board and all of the residents hold back paying their bills. Maybe that way we will get results
Yes, I have this problem. I noticed it first time about 3 days ago.
Yes. The issue that you described. Roughly 2 weeks. Thanks.
Yes!!!!!!!!
Yes, since I moved into the house in late October of 2009. If interested in my other issues with Comcast, please keep reading. On March 24, 2010 someone (or something) ripped off the cylinder cover by the lake that connects the cable to my house. This also ripped off the cable connection to my house and I was without service. I called Comcast and they made an appointment for the following day between 2-5PM. They never showed and never called me, or left a voicemail as they should if they cannot reach the customer. I was upset that they could only reschedule it right away, I would have to wait another 2 days to get it fixed. Come Saturday the same thing happens, they do not show up and they do not call. I find out that the lady I spoke with never put in the reservation to have them come out to my house, even though there is a recording of our conversation where she tells me that she scheduled it for that Saturday between 11-3PM. I finally get someone out here on the following Tuesday, after going without service for 6 days. Point being their customer service is horrible, and it’s a horrible feeling that I cannot choose another provider seeing how I am being charged for Comcast regardless because it is part of our HOA fees. I hope the board someday realizes that it is best to give the community a choice of providers instead of forcing them all the one, one that then has no motivation to keep the customer happy since we cannot do anything about it, they have our money regardless. On an added note, the tech that came out replaced the line from the lake to the side of my house to improve signal strength and stop all the interruptions. This did not work, I still get lots of interruptions while watching television, the picture cuts out for 5-15 seconds all the time.
No issues.
Our answer is YES. The description is perfect and has been going on for a few weeks.
Sometimes as many as a dozen times a night.
YES! PLEASE FIX ASAP.
The tv does go out for about 30 seconds to one minute every day , the phone service does the same thing.
We have been having frequent but random signal breaks for several months. We are east of Cain.
Thanks for following up on this problem. We also called Comcast several times but got nothing.
Issue we have with Comcast is that the picture goes blank and sound goes to zero, affects various channels - lasts 10-20 secs and is random.
No, we've noticed something different. Once in a while it goes out, and the screen is blank and it just says "No signal"....., but only for a few seconds, 20 seconds maybe at the most.
Picture goes black and comes back on in about 20 seconds.
Yes. We are having the snow problem, and also sometimes the screen will just go black for a few seconds at a time. Another problem we encounter is that the OnDemand will not work. The screen will appear but the menu options do not.
Yes, not sure how long. Also, I have had periods of time where my telephone service was down - also through Comcast.
On our bedroom TV we will hear a loud crack or snap, then the picture goes out for 1 to 3 seconds, this happens in the mornings mostly and it will happen several times an hour at a minimum. For the record, this is on our bedroom set which does not have a Comcast cable box, usually we have the TV on when using our elliptical trainer which is located in a bedroom. We seldom ever have the living room TV on in the mornings, which is connected to a cable box. So maybe that is why we don't ever see the snowy screen. What is probably happening is the cable box is resetting itself after each power interruption.
No. But it does black out every once in awhile. But no static or irritating noise. Just a gray screen. It probably lasts about five seconds. Not too long.
Yes, that’s without the box, with the box the picture and sound "blinks" every so often for as long as 30 seconds. I have called them numerous times and then they clear it up for 4-5 days then it comes back. So I call again they fix it for 4-5 days and then we start all over. I have asked to speak with a technical Representative, and am waiting for his call. I’ve mentioned every time I call, that my neighbors are also experiencing this problem, and since I was a board member and was involved in the contract for the community, I get others complaining to me about it. I don’t know if that helped but, after they sent two technicians to my house, and there is nothing local causing a problem. Matt told me that yesterday he saw them working across from the clubhouse by Lacrosse, maybe this mornings interruptions were them working. I have not had the problem since about 12:00 Noon today. I always tell them that the problem is a transmission problem and that usually works for 4-5 days. Let me know what everyone is saying.
Ok, I didn't think I needed the box because my TV's are new. Before I had the cable box, I had only snow problems. They came out twice and replaced cables and buried cables.
Then, the picture was terrible on all channels, all the time, so they came out and told me about the cable box I should have. I got the cable box for all 3 tv's and remote for only 1 tv for no charge. Not happy that now I have a charge for 18 a month just for 2 remotes!!!! Crazy! They have already replaced 2 boxes because they were bad and just today my tv started going out for 3 seconds every 10 minutes. I will call them tomorrow.
On a side note, they are suppossed to call before they arrive and never do that. Also, it takes 3 days before they can come out to your house. Very nice over the phone people!
We have been encountering this "snowy" problem for probably two weeks, on and off (no pun intended). Essentially, in my opinion, Comcast as an entity sucks. Their service people - really private contractors 98% of the time - are pathetic. Because of our contract with them AT&T will not bring U-verse into this neighborhood.
Yes/No.....picture/sound go off (just goes black, not snowy) without warning for 10-15 seconds. Symptom has had several forms....
- Every 10-15 minutes for 1-3 hours and then fine for several hours or a day or two
- One Saturday it did this every 30 seconds for about two hours
- Off and on every 10-15 minutes and then eventually the picture froze but could still hear sound. Had to unplug the cable box and reboot. Has happened several times but never on same day. And for those of us who have Cable/HD, High Speed Internet, and Home Phone (called Triple-Play) service via Comcast, guess what, they are all affected at the same time. Thanks Alan......please complain loud and long!!!
Yes intermittently for about 6 months.
Yes it has been going on for about 2 months.
Yes – frequent service interruptions daily – last 2 months or so.
YES-that describes exactly the problem we have in the house.
YES! For about 4/5 days maybe longer.....I thought it was time to buy a new 100 inch flat screen. 3d of course.
Yes.
A long time, 6-12 months, they have been here 4 times for various reasons. Sometime it just goes blue and says No Signal.
Yes, this problem has been happening for 2 months.
YES!!
If No, please describe whatever other problem you are having with your Comcast TV service. Service interruptions. Black screen like cable/tv turned off for about 7-8 seconds with a click noise
Yes, we are having the same problem with Comcast, we even had a service guy at our house last week. This problem has been going on for over a month maybe even 2 months.
yes - for about a week now
no - also get a blank screen with no noise that says 'no signal !'
It’s been going on for at least a month or two. In addition to the snowy screen, sometimes we just get a black screen for a minute or two and our DVR recording is interrupted. And sometimes we get mosaic patterns where the picture is all broken up – this often goes on for 15 minutes or more. Thanks for addressing this problem!
Yes, I thought my tv's were all going. Picture goes on and off about every 15 minutes and there is snow and set goes off.
Yes!
Yes, this describes our comcast problem. It occurs on all the TV's. Has been occuring for a few weeks now.
No. We are having problems with the upper channel's reception. A lot of times we have to unplug the box and replug it in and hope that the upper channels come back on. We have 4 boxes.
No. My problem is that the picture goes away for about 10-15 seconds and then comes back.
As a matter fact, I had Comcast out to home for service about month ago for "TV picture goes all snowy for as long as a minute, accompanied by a loud and irritating static noise." the Comcast service tech told me that I had to have my house rewired/re-cabled for cost of aprox $200. I have not had my house rewired/re-cabled as yet.
PS. the Comcast service tech did not fix the cable tap Ground wire that had requested as part of service call. Please let us know what progress you make. Thank you.
Yes problem has been going on for several months.
This problem, as mentioned below has been going on for over a month! It is very annoying and frustrating. If this still continues, now that I know the association is aware of this, I refuse to pay. My suggestion is to send a registered letter to COMCAST to take care of this problem right away due to it being a violation to our contract. I am available for any questions in regards to this matter.
Yes our TV stops the show and the tv goes black and goes back.
Our phone service is not working time to time.
Yes and it has been going on for about 3-4 months.
I was told emphatically by Best Buy that COMCAST has a chip available that can boost the signal strength in your home. Apparently when the signal comes into your home it is dispersed and sometimes affects the picture on your tv.
I don't know if this is related but I believe it is. I called in COMCAST and the repairman had no idea what I was talking about.
Yes, we are having problems with the TV for at least 4 months. The service goes out and the TV snows for a short while. I just found out that the problem was in the area when I called Comcast last week. My computer service is with them also and I am having issues with the service coming and going. I'll be online and a message pops up that I am working offline or the computer is trying to connect.
Yes it happens nearly daily and I don't watch a lot of TV. I noticed it in Feb as a regular event.
yes problem has been going on for few weeks now. Also the digital box they have provided us keep needing to reboot all the time. Please get them take care of our business...or make them get out of our community. I think not being able to provide a decent service is a breach of their contract.
yes
Constant interruptions for 5-10 seconds each with just a grey screen.
yes, for quite some time especially after more channels (?) and charges added.
There are same programs running in two separate channels.
Yes, we are experiencing frequent service interruptions. Typically we loose the program and get a blank screen for 10-20 seconds and then the program returns. This happens on a daily basis and is very irritating.
COMCAST SUCKS!!! The answer is yes to your question and yes to many other problems. The picture goes away often. Often!!! Plus, the picture gets Pixelated often. And the same occurs at my folks house in Amber Bay. At one point I called Comcast every day. Nothing changed. Do you think they care? They locked you, and us into a fat profitable long-term Contract. You aren't going anywhere. And what did you spend that big fat rebate check on that you got from Comcast for signing that long-term Contract?
I completely lose reception for about 30 secs or a black line appears across my screen for about 10 secs.
YES. AROUND 6 WEEKS, INCLUDING FREQUENT INTERRUPTIONS (TV GOES BLANK NOT SNOWY), HBO CHANNELS DOWN AND NOT SO GOOD HD QUALITY (AS WE HAD WHEN WE STARTED WITH HD SERVICE)
I have the screen go black for about 5-10 seconds 3 or 4 times in a 3 hour period. No static or loud sound.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING SERVICE INTERUPTIONS, BUT NOT AS YOU DESCRIBE. IN MY CASE THE SERVICE CUTS OFF FOR ABOUT A MINUTE, BUT WITHOUT NOISE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR 2 MONTHS.
Yes - we've had that problem on and off. Also - our internet seems to go down every so often and it appears slow at times.
Yes this has been happening for about two weeks at our house. The TV goes blank for a min.all night but no loud noise. We would appreciate your efforts to let them know. Go get 'em.
Yes, for several weeks! Thanks for looking into it.
YES - I have been experiencing the very annoying cable interruption for approximately 30 days. It seems to be growing in frequency as well.
Yes, for over a month.
YES, plus- we have frequent image issues that are not as listed. Basically, it is a jittery picture and sound where it gets just pixilated enough to be annoying. It happens mainly on high def channels but also happens on other channels. The sound is similar to an audio tape that has been scrunched up and then straightened out and replayed. Some skipping and excess noise. Yes to frequent interruptions when watching TV. It doesn't matter if it's a HD channel or not. At first we thought it might be our box but it happens on all TV's in the house.
This has been happening for about 2 weeks. We have called Comcast and they claimed no problems in our area about 3 days ago. In addition our Comcast phone service has been doing the same thing for about 6 months. Thanks for anything you can do to help.
Comcast was out at my home yesterday for 2.5 hours. My phone and internet goes out weekly. Hopefully they fixed the on-going problem. Yes, the TV goes out daily (:10 seconds at a time) They said it was a problem in our area. I cant wait until ATT is out in our area. I will switch in a second!
YES ....this problem has been going on for almost two months now. Every day. I figured it to be a system problem and assumed it would have been addressed by now.
Yes -- we occasionally have that problem. Additionally, I called them today about pixilation on some of the digital channels (above 69) and some channels not even coming in. (Green Channel, BBC America, Speed, many on the HD level.) They are coming to the house Friday to check the signal strength.
Yes, this problem has been happening for at least 8 months.
Yes. We are having that problem for some time now. They are 10 to 11 minutes apart and mostly at night.
Yes, this describes our problem - also, there are times when the screen just goes black instead of snowy for as long as a minute, usually less. We also ocassionally get the problem where it appears the picture is not in focus and the colors are separating.
This problem where the screen goes snowy or black has been ongoing for about 3 weeks now. The picture being out of focus and the colors separating does not happen often but started more than a month ago.
yes....seconds at a time....
Yes I have been having this problem for a few months. I call Comcast many times and told me to reset, but doesn’t solve the problem, interrupt the TV, Internet and phone (all with Comcast). I ask for an adjustment in my bill, but won’t be possible, I asked why should I be charged for a bad service, no answer. Hope you can help , thank you for your concern.
No. The problem I am having is frequent blank screens that will last for 15 - 60 seconds and then come back on.
The HOA is aware that there are problems with Comcast’s service, and that these problems have been recurring for a while.
YES. IT'S GOING ON FOR THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF.
Yes we also experience periodic interruptions while watching TV where the image disappears for close to 30 seconds (no static - just black screen and no sound). It's been going on for at least 10 days.
Our problem has been somewhat similar. We have interruptions for 5-10 seconds. There is no loud static noise at all. We have been dealing with comcast directly for at least 2 months. We are suppose to receive a phone call from comcast in the next day or two telling us what the problem is. Some how I don't think that will happen.
yes, we have been having problems with the service for several months now, basically from the time the digital service started. The static loud noise is one of these problems (several times a week), but we also had complete outages lasting from a few seconds to several minutes. We also had cases where the picture was fine but the sound was either completely gone or constantly interrupted by short (~ 1 sec.) outages. We had Comcast come in and check the wiring and signal levels. Nothing. We also installed a cable amplifier which resulted in only minor improvement of the picture without addressing any of the other problems. We also found that our cable box and our Tivo sometimes got confused when Comcast performed a channel line-up change. There was no picture or sound and the boxes needed to be rebooted.
Already sent a response but I'm not sure if you got it because my internet connection was having problems too! I am having the problems that you described and it has been going on for several months, more often recently. It is very annoying.
Unfortunately, we are on the phone with Comcast customer service much more than we care to be! As a matter of fact, they were just at our home yesterday (4/6) for a "service call" for over two hours! Besides having cable service with Comcast, we also have both our home phone service and internet service with them... BIG mistake! In answer to your cable service question, the T.V. problem we've been experiencing, on and off since we've moved here 7 months ago, is as follows:
- - - While watching a program, the T.V. screen will simply go dark for a few seconds and then come back on with the show already in progress, so a lot of the time we miss important parts of our programs. This happens every single time we watch T.V.!!!
As we stated earlier, we call 1-800-COMCAST almost every other day for a problem we are experiencing with either our home phone service, internet service or cable T.V. service and we have been given credits by the billing Dept. on an 'as needed' basis. We would much rather have uninterrupted service, though, instead of these small credits.
Thank you very much, in advance, for trying to take care of this widespread problem. If we could be of any further assistance to you, please don't hesitate to contact us at any of the numbers below.
Yes, for about two months and the interruptions occur daily.
yes about 2 months.
Yes, this has been happening at my house for quite a while. I thought it was just me. I'd say probably a month, if not longer.
Yes this is what has been happening in the middle of programs. I don't remember how long.
The problem that I have been having is different. My TV’s just go blank for 10 – 20 seconds and then come back on.
ours goes black for upwards of ten seconds and then resumes. This happens a number of times a night and has been doing so for about two weeks.
YES!
I have been having the problem of losing signal or having hash for up to a minute . I called comcast several times and they send a technician . I don't know what he does but problem persists. I can't believe that the technician doesn't know that this is a community problem. He said if problem continues they would have to put a monitor on our cable input??????. I now have a problem opening and closing TV with comcast remote. Frustrating. Is this what we are paying for?
just to update you on today's (April 8) service call from Comcast, it lasted exactly 5 minutes...The tech checked the office for other similar complaints as mine in the cypress bend area and was told the problem is common and will be taken care of asap....I told him his asap means absolutely nothing as I have been reporting this problem now for the last year. Just this year alone I have had 3 techs come over since jan 15 and had called them on additional 3 times...still waiting for the problem to be fixed at their end.
Our screen goes blank. It has been happening on and off for about 2 weeks.
Yes, for a couple months now?
Yes, this has been a problem since at least January. I had someone
out to look at it in January and when they got here it was working, so
it appeared that I just didn't know what I was talking about. So the
tech never really did anything and I got charged a $44.50 service fee
for them coming out. I tried to fight that and got no where with
comcast. At times I just get a black screen and no cable, or the snow on the
screen, and as you said, sometimes it just goes black for a moment.
I have contacted Comcast to report the problem. I had no idea that it was a community wide problem. However, the did tell me that if there was more than report they would come to fix the problem without having to schedule an appointment.
Yes, we have this problem. Almost every day now. I have some background with cable networks. Please let me know how I can help. Give me a call anytime.
This has been a problem since we moved in, in Sept. 09. We also have Comcast phone service and we will be on a call and the call will be silent for a minute or so and then will resume. Thank you so much for looking into this matter.
Yes, for over a month.
OVER A MONTH. I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED ON A NEW TV THE PROBLEM OF WHEN IT IS FIRST TURNED ON TO CHANNEL 3 & 13 THERE IS NO SOUND FOR OVER 5 MINS. RETURNED THE TV TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE AND WHEN THEY CHECKED, NO PROBLEM THERE. SUGGESTED IT COULD BE THE CABLE SERVICE.
I have had trouble with this problem, but it seems to have cleared up.
Our "on demand" has been down for about a week. I called Comcast they told me they were aware of the problem.
With my comcast cable service we will lose the picture and sound, the screen going black for about 5 - 10 seconds. This happens sporadically throughout the day and my neighbors have had the same issue, so I think it is a general cable problem and not an individual home issue. Thanks for looking into this.
Yes. The problem is most noticeable on a digital STB where the signal drop outs have the biggest impact "no Picture" and the loud audible pop. For the analog connections (no STB), the signal drop outs range from just signal ghosting, artifacts in the video signal and for long interrupts, snow. There are also cases where the channel just freezes for 1 minute or more on the digital box with digital artifacts all over the screen. The basic problem has always been there but since last May when we received the STB and Digital service it is much more noticeable since with digital the signal is ether there or not.
YES + more often: silence & no picture at all.
My TV goes black screen with out sound for up to 20 seconds. No Snow for me. This has been happening for about two months.
Yes this is the problem we are having, it has been occurring for the past 3-4 weeks.
Actually, we have been having some of these problems as well as every once in a while, daily, the picture will suddenly "scramble" and "stall", like someone mixed up the pieces of a puzzle. Sometimes this happens for just a few seconds, sometimes longer. Every now and then, less frequently, the cable will just shut down, like Artie said in his e-mail, and we get a message saying we're not authorized for this cable service and it lists an 800 number to call. We have to unplug the unit and let it reset itself.
Yes, we experience the problem on a daily basis.
Yes. occasionally for past month or 2.
Yes, it happens almost every day and even few times during the day and the picture breaks down, and when it happens there is no sound. I think it's about a month or more sins i noticed it the first time. I thought my TV was dying. Then i realized that was the cable. Thank you.
Yes, we noticed it in the past week.
No, but we have had other problems. The picture disappears to a black screen, or the entire unit shuts down and we have to wait until eventually we are able to reset the box. It's like a power failure but the power in the house was never interrupted, These things have been ongoing problems and I hope they are able to correct them.

Yes, I have noticed this problem. It's been happening for 2 or 3 days now. However, it usually only lasts a few seconds at a time, but it can occur as frequently as every five or ten minutes during a program.

Yes, we in Woodstream are having the same problem with Comcast, very glad to hear that the HOA is dealing with them on this matter.
In response to your report, I was beginning to think something was wrong with my TV, we experience many blackouts throughout the day and it really is quite distracting when you are watching a movie for 2 hours and you miss the very end because of a blackout. I certainly hope this problem can be corrected in the near future.
