Please pick up after your dog. Please do not allow your dog to urinate or poop on private property. Please do not discard poop bags in our lakes. Please show some decency and respect for your neighbors.

 It’s also a matter of law. The relevant Palm Beach County ordinance reads:

 Sec. 9. Animal waste.

The owner of every dog and cat shall be responsible for the removal of any feces deposited by his/her animal on public property, public walks, public beaches, recreation areas or private property of others.

 The penalty?  Subject to a $500.00 fine. Picking it up is so worth it.
