Our trapper caught a six-foot alligator in the Lakes today, July 11. 

He also had what he said was an 8-foot alligator on the hook, but it managed to break free and flee.  The trapper will be back tomorrow for another attempt to capture this one, which is probably the same gator that numerous residents saw and reported on earlier this month.
