Vinnie relocated to Florida from Rochester, New York in the late 1980s. He and his family have lived in Symphony since 1994.  He played a pivotal role in the extensive renovation of the Community Center in 2006-7.  Vinnie has been the HOA President since January, 2008 and serves on the Architectural Control Committee and The Landscaping Committee.  He has worked in the construction business for many years.

 Alan moved to the Lakes in 2000 from Manhattan, where he was born and lived most of his life.  He was a professor of history at St. John's University prior to working in the world of New York book publishing for over two decades.   After moving to South Florida, he established and currently owns a residential real estate brokerage.  He has been active in the Lakes at Boca Raton HOA for a number of years, initally as editor of the community's newsletter The Lakeside News before creating the community's website and Email Network in 2006.  He was also a principal in completely revamping the Asociation's Governing Documents with the goal of making them more accessible and easier to understand.  He was previously appointed by the Board of Directors to complete the two-year terms of other Directors, but 2012 was the first time he was elected by the community to serve on the Board.

Don and Ginger came to the Lakes at Boca Raton in 1985 from Middleburg Heights, Ohio.  They have 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  Her career was in nursing until she retired.  Since then she has pursued various hobbies, including crafting, sewing and gardening.  She enjoys living in the Lakes and hopes as a Board Director to help maintain the high standards and cohesiveness of our development and to be available to our residents. She has served on various committees within our HOA. She seeks to serve in whatever capacity our HOA requires of her, and hopefully to continue in our future development.

Mike Lungarini moved to The Lakes in 1987, initially residing in Amber Bay, then moving to Harbour Lakes.  He has previously served twice before on the HOA’s Board of Directors, and also served on several committees, most notably chairing the Landscaping Committee during the renovation of the area surrounding the Community Center.  He takes seriously the responsibility to represent the interests and viewpoints of his neighbors.

Rick McCarley has been a resident of Lakes at Boca Raton (Amber Bay) since 1990, and previously served as President of the LABR HOA.  Rick has served as an executive in several start-up medical research companies as well as two Fortune 500 companies.  He has been married to his wife Nancy for 33 years and they have two children, Michelle and Eric, who live, work and attend college locally.  Originally from Southeastern Ohio,  Rick has lived in West Virginia, Missouri, Connecticut and the Netherlands during his career. For the past 15 years, he has been the president and CEO of a Dutch-owned ophthalmic medical research firm located in Boca Raton.

Larry Greenberg was the founding owner of Powerfloor Inc., an innovative office flooring company that is now part of Tyco International. Prior to that, he was the owner of Saxony Floors Inc. up north. Over the last 11 years, he has volunteered as a founder, treasurer, league representative, board director, and president of Boca United FC, our local youth soccer association program, and has been an instructor for soccer referees. He is currently committee chairperson of SFUYSA, the regional soccer league from Key West to Martin County. He also served as manager and fundraiser for the Olympic Heights Boys Soccer Team when they won the state championship in 2002. Larry has lived in Cypress Bend since 1996, and served on the Compliance Committee prior to his election to the Board in 2007.  He is a member of the Lake Bank Erosion Committee, the Architectural Contol Committee and the Financial Oversight Committee.
