Community Center
The Community Center is for the use of all residents and any guests who accompany them.
Access to the complex is restricted by a security card key system. A card key is needed to open the gates anytime between dawn and dusk. The facilities are closed during the hours of darkness and cannot be opened by your card key during that time.
Each card requires a fully refundable $20 deposit. The application for the security card key can be downloaded from this website by clicking on the Forms link on the main menu. You can fill it out ahead of time before going to the office to get your card(s). All deposits are payable only by check.
The Community Center has a state-of-the-art 24-hour digital surveillance system to record evidence of unauthorized use of the facilities and any incidents of vandalism. Each Owner will be held accountable for any damage to the Community Center or the rest of the Common Area caused by their family members, guests, tenants and service providers.
What You Can Do
Lakes at Boca Raton relies on the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office for our basic security needs.
But it's also a good idea to rely on yourself.
Captain Matt Eisenberg, the PBSO commander for West Boca, urges you to take the following security measures:
Lock all windows and doors when you leave home;
Always lock your car when parked in your driveway or on the street;
Keep your garage door closed – an open garage may mean an open house;
If you have an alarm system, use it!
Take precautions regarding people you hire to work in and around your home;
File a police report if you are a victim of any criminal activity.
Lastly, don’t hesitate to call the police at 995-2800 if you observe what appears to be suspicious behavior. Better to be wrong than sorry!
